WHAT PEOPLE SAY
ABOUT ME

Portrait of Maya Okafor
Velvet Ovation moves with such clarity and intention that it feels like more than performance — it is translation. They hold a room without ever demanding it. Watching them work is watching storytelling in motion.

QUESTIONS I GET
ASKED A LOT

Yes. We take on solo commissions as well as ensemble and group collaborations, scaling the cast and choreography to fit your stage, screen or event.

Both. Alongside stage repertoire, we choreograph for commercials, music videos, brand campaigns and live events — adapting the movement language to each medium.

Yes — from open-level contemporary fusion classes to intensive choreography labs for companies and schools. Tell us your level and group size when you enquire.

Start with the contact form: describe your project, timeline and role for movement. We reply within a few days with availability, process and next steps.

Footage is licensed per project. Personal sharing with credit is welcome; any commercial or edited reuse needs written permission — just ask and we'll arrange it.
